I spread tile adhesive 2 hours ago and the recommendations say open time is 1 hour or until dry to the touch. The problem is the premixed adhesive its great for 4x4 or 6x6. The adhesive used should be specifically noted as being appropriate for the material substrate and environment of the project at hand. Otherwise you do not have adequate working time.

Tile adhesive is expected to hold the tile in place not just for years but for decades without fail. Dry to the touch means when you place your fingertips lightly on the adhesive ridges no adhesive transfers to them. You tile will dry in time but it may be a while and i can t say it want pop up later. All armstrong resilient tile adhesives require the adhesive be dry to the touch before installation may begin.

Always follow all of the manufacturer s instructions when using a flooring adhesive. Make sure the installation area is well ventilated. If the vinyl is glued you have two options. Some tiles sound squishy and move a little.
